This blog encourages play with vocal qualities and invites vocal analysis. You’ll need a word processor or pen and paper in addition to a voice recording device. You can do the activity by yourself or work with a group of people.

Instructions

  1. Write a paragraph describing a happy memory directly on your blog post.

  2. Record yourself reading this paragraph three different times, each time changing the tone, pace, pitch, or volume of your voice. You might want to imagine that your attitude toward the story changes—maybe in one you’re sincere, while in another you’re sarcastic or bored, or with some other tone.

  3. Embed your recordings on your blog but don't label the audio with what attitude you're trying to create.

  1. Like the other blogs so far, this blog needs to be a minimum of 300 words, posted to your website.

  2. In addition to the written blog, you should record an audio version of your response, which you will also embed in your blog post.
